Take 5 Oil Change

Don’t be fooled by the thousands of positive reviews. Read the 1-star reviews first. My 18-year-old sister, who is still in school and barely has a job, came in for a simple oil change. Instead, the employees pressured and scared her into paying for a coolant service she didn’t ask for. The worst part? They knew they didn’t even have the correct coolant for her car, but they did it anyway just to make an extra sale. Less than five minutes after leaving the shop, her car started overheating. She had to pull over immediately and shut it off. After paying $255, she left with a car that was no longer drivable. She then had to pay another $150 to have it towed to a real mechanic, where she was told it would cost around $2,000 to repair the damage. We contacted Take 5 immediately. It’s been almost two weeks, and all they’ve done is give us the runaround. Meanwhile, my sister has been spending about $50 every day just to get to and from work because she no longer has a car. For a big company, almost $3,000 may not mean much. But for an 18-year-old who just graduated high school, that’s months of hard work. She now has to borrow money because of a mistake that never should have happene

One of the worst companies I have ever used. They didn’t fully screw the oil plug back on and caused all my oil to leak out on the highway causing me to stop in the emergency lane so my engine didn’t blow. Not only that when I sent proof and asked for a refund at the very least they kept on redirecting me and in the end said the owner refused to refund me.

I had a great experience at Take 5. I came in for an oil change and mentioned that my skid plate was damaged and hanging down. Johnson took the time to secure it with zip ties so I could safely drive my vehicle until I get it properly repaired. He even reinforced it a second time to make sure it was secure, all at no extra charge. Johnson’s willingness to help with something outside of the normal oil change service really stood out. Great customer service, professionalism, and attention to detail. Thanks again to Johnson and the entire Take 5 team for going above and beyond!
